Oktoberfest Tickets on Sale July 1st, Sponsors & Fox 13 Seattle

On June 24th we distributed a press release announcing our 2025 sponsors and that tickets for the 2025 Oktoberfest in Leavenworth dates go on sale July 1st!

We are happy to announce that press releases work! Not only have they been featured by KREM, The Stranger, SIP Magazine, News Break, and Brewpublic, but the Chamber and our Entertainment Sponsor, the Rhein Haus, have also been invited to appear live on Q13 on July 1st. They'll be discussing Oktoberfest and promoting ticket sales. If you want to watch, the segments will air during the nine and ten o'clock hours tomorrow. Prost!

There is still time to be a sponsor and join the following supporters; thank you!

Coming Soon: Member Promotions Calendar

Are you offering a Buy One, Get One Free, an end-of-season sale, a stay 3 get the 4th night free, or a benevolent night? Many things our members offer don't fit the criteria for our event calendar at Leavenworth.org and need a home where residents and visitors can discover them. For this reason, we have developed a promotional calendar to help support your efforts!

Prior to launching and making a big fuss, we want to populate it with offers! So if you have a current promo or are planning something similar to what is dscribed above, please contact Membership Manager Dana to learn more and get the criteria.

Recreation Ambassador Report

Recreation Ambassador Program – Weekend Report 6/28 & 6/29

Weekend Summary 6/27 - 6/30 :

Our Recreation Ambassadors got an early start this week, with two Chamber staff assisting recreators at Stuart Lake and Eight-Mile Trailheads. We will have staff at these locations on Friday and Monday for the remainder of the summer to mitigate human impact in the Enchantments. Six volunteers from Cascade Medical Foundation staffed the E. Leavenworth Boat Launch, Barn Beach River Access, and Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery boat ramp. An additional 6 volunteers from Leavenworth Rotary staffed Stuart Lake, Eight-Mile, and Icicle Gorge Trailheads. Volunteers and staff saw heavy use this weekend, particularly at the Stuart Lake Trailhead with the lot being 90% full at 8am, and 233 vehicles parked at 1pm on Saturday. The Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery was also very busy with 96 cars parked at 1pm. The Hatchery parking lot will be locked at the end of the Sport Fishing Season today 6/30, but can still be easily accessed by the City of Leavenworth’s free shuttle starting 7/4.

Volunteer Impact:

  • Visitor Interactions: 1417(Not including Monday)
  • Surveys Conducted: 29
  • Trash Removed: 4, 30 Gallon Bags

Survey Highlights (18 respondents):

Visitor Origin:

  • 85% of River users surveyed were local
  • Most Trail users surveyed were not local, with visitors from Colorado, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Norway

Recreation Type:

  • 80% of hikers surveyed were headed to Colchuck Lake
  • 50/50 Tubers and Paddleboards

Conditions Reported:

  • Multiple survey respondents complained of fishing lures, lines & hooks on the Icicle River
  • Respondents complained of overfull trash-cans and lack of toilet paper in trailhead restrooms, but said trails were clear of trash
  • Eight-Mile Trailhead has multiple downed logs over the trail and takes longer than normal to hike

Post-Recreation Plans:

  • On Saturday about 60% of respondents planned to visit a restaurant after their float or hike
  • On Sunday about 60% of respondents planned to go home after their float or hike

Transportation & Parking

  • 65% of river users surveyed had previously heard about the City’s free river shuttle, several wished it started in June
  • All river users surveyed brought two vehicles to run shuttle

We are still looking for non-profits to volunteer for the Weekends of August 2/3 and August 23/24. For more information, please email Matt @ Recreation@leavenworth.org or apply at Leavenworthchamber.org.
