The Chamber of Commerce Proudly Presents Maifest this Weekend, Our Tradition Since 1971!
|
Join us on Saturday, May 10th, at 12pm in your best trachten and join the parade!
We'll gather inside the Festhalle at 11:30 AM and separate into groups. Make your way to the "Townsfolk" group and be ready to begin the march down Front Street at noon. The march concludes when you reach Gustav's!
Did you borrow clothes from the Bavarian Closet? Return them after the event to get your deposit back.

Footfalls have seen a decline in the last few months, at times a 10-20% reduction over the previous year. However, sunshine has been helping, and May is trending in a better direction. A new addition to the Bulletin will be these weekly reports to help you gauge visitation to the village in this already tumultuous year.
Headlines
The total number of footfalls YTD is up 13.1%, this is primarily due to an above average January.
The peak hour for week 18 was Saturday May 3 at 14:00.
REMINDER: The numbers shown are not people but footfalls, i.e. the counting of the numbers of passersby, not individuals.
Week 18: Apr 28 to May 4, 2025

Enchantment Permit Update
|
The Daily Lottery for Overnight Permits in the Enchantments Area is closed for the 2025 season. If you're planning to stay overnight between May 15 and October 31, you must have a permit in advance—no same-day or walk-up lottery will be available this year.
Check with recreation.gov throughout the permit season as occasionally permits are cancelled and then made available.

Not Able to Put Together of Team of Six?

Volunteer Teams of Six Can Earn $2000 per Weekend
|
We have been getting individuals wanting to volunteer but are not affiliated with a nonprofit. We also have nonprofits that are not able to put together a team of six.
If either of these scenarios apply to you, please let us know, we may be able to make the connections to provide additional coverage and help raise money for local causes! Nonprofits can apply at the link below. Individuals can email Matt at visitorcenter@leavenworth.org with their availability.
Check the dates still available at the following link.
