Bavarian Bulletin - June 30,  2026 Edition

Oktoberfest 2026 tickets go on sale online starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1st on our Oktoberfest event page.  

We encourage guests to purchase online, as it's faster for entry into the venues! Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate, but online ordering is the streamlined option. Additionally, we're hosting a locals night on the first Friday of Oktoberfest, however the RSVP details won't be shared until early September.

We're excited to announce the debut of our new podcast series, "Talkin' Schnitzel," featuring conversations about everything Leavenworth with our host, long time local Ann Peavey. The first two episodes are now live and focus on Oktoberfest 2026—the perfect primer as we head into ticket sales. June 2026 Facebook Audience Insights

Analytics from our Visit Leavenworth Facebook page in June, traffic continues to be heavily concentrated in Washington State, with Seattle leading at 1.8% of total engagement, followed by Spokane (1.7%) and Yakima (1.6%). Other notable Washington markets include Kennewick, Tacoma, Wenatchee, Pasco, and Vancouver, which collectively represent a significant share of our regional audience. At the country level, domestic traffic dominates at 94.2%, with Canada representing our only meaningful international audience segment at 1.5%, followed by Mexico, UK, and India at smaller percentages. This geographic concentration aligns with our strategic focus on drive-market visitation and regional awareness for our village.

With fireworks banned in Chelan County and most of Douglas County due to wildfire risk, we're asking members to help educate visitors and guests about the restriction. Please share the "Skip the Sparks & Stop the Fires!" message and direct people to  https://www.skipthesparks.org/ for alternative celebration options, including public fireworks shows throughout the region.

The Carvings for Causes auction is still going strong, and there's still time to place your bids! Best of all, anyone can participate, so be sure to share with friends and family!

The carvings are on display daily from 9 AM–6 PM at the new Willkommen Center, located at 645 Front Street in downtown Leavenworth.

All proceeds will be split equally between The Chelan County Fire District #3 Volunteer Firefighters Association and The Chumstick Wildfire Coalition.
