Bavarian Bulletin - September 8,  2026 Edition

Applications for the 2026 Oktoberfest Ambassador program for member nonprofits are open. Your organization could raise $1200 or $2500 per weekend!

We will have two groups of six each day to help us with the line management prior to and after opening the gates and helping us manage the Kinderplatz tent activities.  

The Leavenworth Chamber is proud to once again offer Local's Night on the Opening Night of Oktoberfest 2026.  

If you live in the 98826 Area Code (Cascade School District) and would like to get on the Locals Guest List, here is how you do it.  

Follow the "Register Now" button below to link to the RSVP form.  The form allows for you to register yourself (anyone 13+) and a plus one .  Additionally, there is a field to register up to four children who are 12 and under children with you.

All attendees 21 and over must bring photo identification to receive a 21+ wristband. If your photo ID address does not match your 98826 zip code, bring a separate ID or something that does. (Piece of mail)

 On September 28th, the guest list officially closes and everyone that registered will be sent a ticket to the e-mail address you provided. You will need this ticket to enter the event.  

On evening of the event, you and your party can go through either the “Local’s Entrance Gate” (Front & Division Street) or the Main Gate (Front & 10th Street).

Exciting News for Our Chamber Members: Introducing Leavenworth Today!

We're thrilled to share some big news: Leavenworth Today, a brand-new concierge-style web app built specifically for visitors the moment they arrive in town will launch soon. Think of it as a friendly local expert in their pocket — no app store, no download, just an instant guide to everything happening right now. Visitors will be able to pull it up on their phone and instantly see what's open today, what events are happening and when they kick off, where to grab a great meal or find that perfect souvenir, and even get help booking lodging on the spot. We've also built in real-time parking information, because let's be honest — that's one of the first questions every visitor has when they roll into town!

This isn't just a nice-to-have — it's a tool designed to put more visitors through your doors, connect them with your business the moment they're deciding what to do next, and make their whole Leavenworth experience smoother from arrival to departure. And the timing couldn't be better: we're aiming to launch Leavenworth Today right before Oktoberfest, when our town will be full of visitors looking for exactly this kind of guidance. This is your chance to be front and center during one of our busiest, most exciting times of year.

We'll be sharing more details soon on how your business can be featured and get the most out of this new platform. Stay tuned — Leavenworth Today is coming, and it's going to change the way visitors experience our town!

WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Chelan PUD is moving an aging overhead power line in Tumwater Canyon underground along Highway 2, improving reliability and reducing wildfire and safety risks.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Crews will work along Highway 2 (milepost 94.5–99) to install underground conduit and cable. Expect construction vehicles, work zones and traffic delays.

• Timeline: September 9 – October 30, 2026
• Hours: Mon–Fri, ~6:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Traffic: Flaggers, single-lane closures as needed — slow down and allow extra time
• Power: Brief scheduled outages; affected customers notified in advance
• Work involved: Trenching/boring, underground line and equipment installation, removal of existing poles and overhead wires
