Vote for Leavenworth, America's Merriest Christmastown
Leavenworth made Hallmark Channel's list of 25 official "Merriest Christmas Towns" finalists. The public can vote once daily (email verification required) through September 4 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern, and while votes signal community enthusiasm, a judging panel makes the final call based on community spirit, holiday traditions, charm, and goodwill. The grand-prize town gets a future Hallmark Christmas movie filmed on location, with the winner announced around October 31.
A Hallmark movie filmed in town isn't a one-week news cycle, it's sustained, evergreen exposure. Hallmark Christmas movies get rerun for years, meaning Leavenworth's storefronts, streets, and mountain backdrop would be marketed to national audiences every holiday season indefinitely, at zero cost to the town!

Village Art in the Park (VAP), a 501(c)(4) nonprofit serving the Leavenworth community since 1966, has announced its largest community impact to date: supporting a dedicated art instructor in the Cascade School District, bringing hands-on art education to approximately 500 students in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade.
