Recreation Ambassador Applications are Live
|
Volunteer for a Weekend and earn $2200 for your Nonprofit!
|
Back for its 6th year, the Recreation Ambassador volunteer program will once again place nonprofit teams at River and Trailhead locations. The volunteer program is now fully funded by the Chamber's Funding it Forward Program.
The Recreation Ambassador program aims to provide consistency in staffing and messaging at some of the most heavily used—and, at times, abused—resources, trailheads, and river access locations. If your nonprofit or team would like to learn more, check out the web page at LeavenworthChamber.org.

Inspiring Travel: Our Print Media Strategy
Leavenworth invests in select travel guides and regional magazine placements to support inspiration, trip planning, and year-round visitation.
Key placements include:
- Cascade Loop Association Travel Guide
- State of Washington Tourism Visitor Guide
- Visit Seattle Travel Guides
- Regional lifestyle and road trip publications
These reach high-intent travelers in our core drive markets (Puget Sound, Portland, Spokane/CDA, Tri-Cities, Boise) and help position Leavenworth as a must-visit destination. Print builds credibility, extends our reach beyond digital channels, and remains visible for months in homes, hotels, and visitor centers.
These placements are aligned with our seasonal campaigns and reinforce messaging delivered through digital and TV.
They are designed to:
- Inspire early trip planning
- Keep Leavenworth top of mind year-round
- Encourage overnight and multi-day stays
- Support overall visitation trends
While print is not a direct conversion tool, it plays a critical role in the inspiration and planning phase and strengthens the performance of our broader marketing efforts.
